As we continue to expand our footprint with leading health systems, clinical research organizations, and academic medical centers, we are seeking an experienced and visionary General Counsel to join our senior management team. About the Role We are looking for a seasoned General Counsel who can provide strategic legal guidance and support to our commercial, product, and clinical teams. As a key business partner, you will play a critical role in driving our company's growth and success. Your expertise in healthcare law, particularly in regulatory law, negotiating commercial contracts, and advising internal teams on product development, will be invaluable in helping us navigate the complex healthcare landscape. Key Responsibilities Partner with all areas of the business, including Commercial, Product, Clinical, Human Resources, and Finance to advise on legal implications of corporate strategies and the development of new products and services. Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements with commercial partners. Manage the Company's corporate legal activities, including employment, corporate governance, regulatory, employee equity plans, and other corporate matters. Act as a key legal advisor on major business transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital raises. Develop and implement company policies and procedures regarding privacy and compliance. Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance and legal matters. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation, as necessary. Effectively and efficiently manage external counsel. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Washington state. Minimum of 8 years of relevant corporate legal experience, with substantial experience in medical devices/life sciences. Deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment, including FDA regulations. Previous experience in a venture capital-backed startup, including fundraising, is highly desirable.
