About the Role We're seeking experienced healthcare providers, including Nurse Practitioners and Physicians, to join our dynamic team as Virtual Urgent Care Clinicians. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing best-in-class care to patients managing urgent and acute illnesses through our innovative, proprietary app and technology. Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients from age 0-100 across all needs, including complex, chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mental health. Work with a diverse patient population, fostering a culture that is inclusive of all backgrounds. Solve patient problems in an efficient, nimble manner by drawing on resourcefulness, collaborating with team members to leverage their expertise, and a "can-do" approach. Utilize asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care. Work in 4-hour shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight on weekdays and weekends) and require a minimum of 14 hours (alternating schedule of 12 and 16 hours) a week. We have several roles available for our overnight shifts, which run from 11pm-7am ET Sunday through Saturday. As a Virtual Urgent Care Clinician, you'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video, to provide high-quality care to patients. Our ideal candidate has: Physicians: a minimum of 4 years experience post-residency in an in-person setting in either urgent care, primary care, or emergency medicine Nurse Practitioners: a minimum of 5 years experience post-training, including at least 3 years of primary care work experience plus 2 years of urgent care experience The ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments Experience in or an appetite for learning digital-first healthcare (e.g. virtual medicine) Interest in new, innovative models of care that balance evidence-based approaches with creative ideas High comfort with using technology and various applications to deliver care to patients virtually Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine (for Physicians) Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (for Nurse Practitioners) Active licensure in NY, FL, and/or TX is required at time of start, with the ability to also obtain additional state licensures as needed How We Hire Galileo Health is an equal-opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
