Job Summary We are seeking experienced, reliable, and energetic tutors to join our team in the Indianapolis area. As a tutor with College Tutors of Indiana, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of young students while earning a competitive wage. This is a unique on-premises tutoring model that offers consistent and steady hours, allowing you to plan your schedule and focus on your students. Key Responsibilities: Provide students with academic assistance and guidance as directed by College Tutors of Indiana, serving as a role model to students Implement the tutoring strategy within timelines established by the school and College Tutors of Indiana Communicate on a regular basis with College Tutors management and school staff on student progress; discuss appropriate changes or needs to meet goals within established timelines Assist in the development of a positive attitude toward learning, studying, and academics Submit online/mobile timesheets and session notes within 24 hours of completion of each session Essential Qualifications: At least one year certificate from a college or technical school or currently enrolled in a higher education institution Experience tutoring: either professionally or non-professionally to colleagues or siblings Must have a source of reliable transportation Can complete the entire semester Must pass a background check Located in the Indianapolis area Preferred Qualifications: Skilled in math grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and/or 8, OR reading for 2nd-grade phonics tutoring Ability to tutor at least three of the available five days/week (9:30am - 3:30pm) Skills and Competencies: Believes in the potential of all students and has a natural drive to help each student achieve their academic goals Communication Skills: ability to listen to others, provide appropriate feedback, communicate professionally to develop and maintain successful work relationships Interpersonal Skills: can build rapport with students and teachers, ability to work both independently and collaboratively What We Offer As a tutor with College Tutors of Indiana, you will have access to a range of benefits and opportunities, including: Competitive salary: $20+/hour, increasing for both experience and availability to tutor Consistent hours: Monday through Friday, 9:15am - 3:30pm Opportunity to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of young students Professional growth and development opportunities Collaborative and dynamic work environment Why Join Our Team?
