About the Opportunity

Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data entry and clerical operations? Do you have a strong background in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills? We are seeking an experienced Temporary Data Entry Clerk to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our Lock and Key Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the UT Works Key Module Project by providing advanced skills in data entry, coding, and retrieval.

Responsibilities

As an Experienced Temporary Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for:


Collecting, coding, inputting, and retrieving information using data entry functions
Entering data from keying worksheets into Excel spreadsheets in preparation for transferring lock information into UTWorks Key module Program
Evaluating and verifying notes and reports for correctness and accuracy before entering information into Excel spreadsheets
Ensuring correctness and completeness of data that has been or is to be entered
Maintaining confidential records and files
Confering with other department personnel as needed on data entry matters
Meeting as a group and individually with other team members and supervisors
Composing routine correspondence
Representing Lock & Key Services on special projects
Performing related duties as required
May train new/less experienced employees


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


High school graduation or GED
Three years of experience in an office environment
Two years of above-average experience with data entry with a high degree of accuracy
Two years of intermediate experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent telephone and email etiquette
Current Class "C" Texas Operator Driver License required


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:


Associate's degree or higher in business administration or similar
More than three years of broad-based experience in a office environment
Two or more years of above-average experience with data entry with a high degree of accuracy
More than two years of experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Experience with direct customer service
Excellent telephone etiquette
