Our Telecom Services team is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all telecom services across Walt Disney World, including content delivery planning, interactive device design, server upgrades, and testing new technologies. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that works closely with multiple business units to facilitate new implementations of video and interactive technology, ensuring that our Walt Disney World segments operate effectively and efficiently. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist - Telecom Services to join our team. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and project management expertise to drive the success of our telecom initiatives. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere, and we offer a competitive compensation package with a salary that reflects your skills and experience. Key Responsibilities Coordinates and facilitates the delivery of telecom project objectives, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining program schedules and target dates Leads and advises high-priority matrix projects, requiring considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsors and teams Conducts program meetings at leadership and/or executive director levels, providing input and feedback to telecom team members Develops and runs a project change control process as needed, ensuring that the project team operates within the scope of change approval process Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with telecom activities, taking appropriate action to mitigate the risks Continually reviews available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated, reevaluating current resources to resolve project resource surplus and shortfalls Provides onsite consultation to customers, ensuring operational support of the experience environment to maintain SLAs and Disney standards Prepares and presents metrics on uptime, usage, trends, and opportunities, managing vendor relationships and ensuring that all telecom services are delivered to the highest standards Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 3+ years of experience in the technology industry, with a strong background in technical project management Technical project management expertise for a theme park(s), working closely with technology, telecom, and infrastructure teams Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall Ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills, with attention to detail Experience with Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA, Confluence Wiki, ServiceNOW Experience with budget tracking and complex cost-benefit analysis Experience managing and prioritizing projects within the program, working seamlessly with various teams and stakeholders in a matrix organization Ability to influence negotiations to achieve a favorable outcome for both parties Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities, self-motivated, and dedicated to performing above expectations Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Associates degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, data analytics, or other related scientific or technical discipline, and 7+ years of Program/Project management experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, data analytics, or other related scientific or technical discipline, and 5+ years of Program/Project management experience Master's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, data analytics, or other related scientific or technical discipline, and 3+ years of Program/Project management experience Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Scrum Master Certification, Agile Certification (CSM; ACP; CSPO; SAFe; LeSS) Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP Workplace, and Service NOW Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walt Disney World, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
