About the Role The Technical Specialist – Datacom will play a critical role in supporting our customer-facing operations, ensuring seamless delivery of our services, and providing expert technical guidance to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing level 2 support, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems efficiently. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure seamless delivery of our services Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and knowledge base articles Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to improve our services and support Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies, processes, and procedures to enhance our customer support operations Provide training and guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote a culture of excellence Work closely with our vendor partners to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and to identify opportunities for process improvements Develop and maintain metrics, reports, and dashboards to measure customer support performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing our support operations Essential Qualifications 3+ years of experience in the AV/Technology industry, with a strong focus on customer support and technical troubleshooting 3+ years of experience in network switching and routing, with a solid understanding of network security principles and industry best practices Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP Workplace, and ServiceNow Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the AV/Technology industry, with a strong focus on customer support and technical troubleshooting Experience with video distribution, encoding, audio mixing, and IoT devices Strong understanding of enterprise video distribution, sustainment, and performance Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists Knowledge of analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies Certifications in network security, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP Education A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Video Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analysis, or a related scientific or technical discipline is preferred. Alternatively, relevant certifications or equivalent work experience may be considered.
