Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for building strong business understanding and relationships to enable the delivery of technology solutions that deliver the expected business value in the spirit of the Agile Scrum Framework. The Technical Product Engineer's primary responsibilities are to develop a robust technical understanding of the product, which will allow prioritization of features according to business value, and the ability to write detailed user stories that are ready for development when added to the backlog. The Technical Product Engineer will also participate in Run services like Inception, Future State, Alignment, Run Planning, Reviews, User Story Refinement. They must also establish and maintain effective relationships with the Business and IT product teams.
The key responsibilities of this role include:

Conducting thorough and detailed analysis of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals/plan of the assigned products
Collaborating with Product Owner, and SMEs to prioritize feature development, based on business value
Creating and elaborating initial epics/features and breaking them down into user stories that clearly describe the functional and non-functional requirements
Communicating business requirements via artifacts such as user stories, features, scenarios, acceptance models, process flows, wireframe diagrams, collaboration diagrams, mockups/demos, etc.
Working collaboratively with a multi-functional team within a Scrum framework
Leading work sessions and reporting new features, requirements, and processes
Oversight of testing, bug tracking, improvements while ensuring issues are resolved before promoting to production environments
Ability to handle multiple initiatives and balance constantly evolving priorities
Using data and analysis to drive solution influence and support process-driven solutions
Developing business logic and key metrics for integration into decision support models and tools
Formulating problem statements including problem description and improvement measures
Drilling down past the problem surface to understand root cause
Presenting recommendations and supporting data to determine strong, logical, and justifiable business reasons
Providing guidance to project planning and effort estimation within scope
Supporting the identification of risks and mitigation approaches
Ability to collaborate with, as well as create and maintain internal customer relationships with specialty unit leaders


Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:

3 years of hands-on experience as a project manager, product owner, or similar
Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery
Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production
Knowledge of tools, techniques, and methods of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze, and document expected business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent training and organizational skills, strong verbal, written communication, and support skills
Ability to perform satisfactorily in present position
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diversity, thinking, and styles


Preferred Qualifications and Skills
To have an upper hand in this role, you will need:

Strong understanding of Integrated/SDLC development methodologies
DevOps experience including the use of point of Enterprise Agile planning solutions like Agility.Al or similar
Past experience as a product knowledgeable authority including ownership for its development and implementation
Flexibility to adapt and make plans for changing business objectives
Airline business experience, as well as business process re-engineering or possibly extensive experience working with agile teams, is desirable
