As a Technical Communicator II, you'll play a vital role in creating high-quality technical content that helps our clients understand and utilize our products and services. About the Role As a Technical Communicator II at Global Payments, you'll be responsible for writing technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications. Your expertise will help us develop clear, concise, and user-friendly content that meets the needs of our diverse clients. You'll work closely with subject matter experts, development teams, and other stakeholders to analyze, research, and effectively communicate complex technical information. Key Responsibilities: Research and interview business and technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to generate original product and solution-based/technical content for our clients. Collaborate with development teams to create and streamline functionality and develop user-friendly educational content and reference material. Test and validate complex products and services from the user's perspective, anticipating potential problems and developing procedures and solutions. Create, assimilate, and convey business and technical material in a concise, effective manner, using various formats such as tables, graphics, and videos. Present draft content to users, gather feedback, and provide detailed edits and solutions for final content. Develop, simplify, and customize complex interactive training content, including adding scenarios, assessments, and workflows. Direct and manage multiple projects, resources, and timelines, reporting on the status of assignments. Provide input and writing of best practices, process, style guides, and templates used globally. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in technical communication or a related field. Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to analyze, define, strategize, structure, and manage content. Advanced proficiency in multiple software products and technologies, including Microsoft Office and desktop publishing tools. The ability to dissect and transfer knowledge of complex concepts to diverse audiences. Results-oriented, customer-focused, and an effective communicator with excellent planning and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include: A Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communications, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field. Experience in the finance industry or a related field.
