Key Responsibilities Participate in finding solutions to real-world problems at Google, leveraging your research experience and technical expertise. Collaborate with Google scientists and engineers on research projects, contributing to the development of new intelligent systems for Google products. Design and implement research projects, applying your knowledge of computer science concepts and programming languages. Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, showcasing your work and contributing to the academic community. Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field. Experience in a computer science field, such as natural language understanding, neural networks, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, algorithmic foundations of optimization, data science, or machine/artificial intelligence. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: Currently studying full-time and will return to study after completion of an internship. Research experience, including internships, full-time positions, or research projects. Experience contributing to a community effort or conducting research, including publishing articles at conferences or in peer-reviewed journals. Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go, or Python. Ability to design and implement research projects, with a strong understanding of computer science concepts. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical skills and soft skills, including: Strong programming skills in languages relevant to your research area. Experience with research methodologies and experimental design. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
