About the Position As a Quantitative Trader, you will be responsible for managing the Profit and Loss (PnL) of our trading desk and associated risks from the outset. This involves providing input and suggesting improvements related to trading strategies and applications, working closely with our senior quantitative developer and management team. Your flexibility and innovative approach will be invaluable in our fast-paced and ever-changing global crypto market. You will be at the forefront of trading, seeking to effectuate systemic improvements to the desk's overall trading strategy and ensuring its long-term viability in a competitive and dynamic market. Key Responsibilities Manage the PnL of the trading desk and associated risks, providing strategic input and suggestions for improvement Collaborate with the senior quantitative developer and management team to develop and refine trading strategies and applications Identify, evaluate, and realize new market opportunities, trade execution, strategy performance, and revenue streams, coordinating across roles and liaising with the quantitative development team Offer valuable input on UI/UX, functionality, trade reporting, metric tracking, and other areas, playing a major role in the testing and tweaking of existing and future strategies Communicate effectively with the team, providing insights and expertise to drive success Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong and diverse skillset, including: A degree with significant quantitative elements, such as mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or a related field 5+ years of experience in a well-established HFT/market-making/algo trading/quantitative firm, operating proprietary electronic market-making software 5+ years of experience managing the PnL associated with a product or portfolio A strong interest in digital assets/cryptocurrencies, with a provable track record of success An owner mentality, with the heart of a teacher, and excellent collaboration and communication skills The ability to communicate effectively in English and work comfortably in a remote environment Nice-to-Have Qualifications Matlab/Python coding skills are a plus, but not required A willingness to relocate to Bangkok, Thailand after six months of employment is a plus Abilities and Skills To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. You should be comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, with an interest in eventually managing a team of traders in a supportive and productive manner.
