Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized scholar goals and objectives, aligning with the district's Individual Educational Plan (IEP) framework Evaluate scholar performance, tracking progress and making data-driven decisions to inform instruction and therapy Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting scholar achievement and social-emotional growth Maintain accurate and comprehensive scholar records, ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal regulations Collaborate with guardians, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and maximize scholar success Participate in district, building, and department leadership activities, contributing to the development of best practices and policies Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of scholars, guardians, and the district, with a willingness to adjust work hours as needed Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you'll need: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field A valid MDE Speech Language Pathologist license, as per the requirements set by the MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) A strong foundation in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders, with a focus on evidence-based practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with scholars, guardians, and colleagues Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) certification Experience working in a school setting, with a deep understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices A proven track record of delivering high-quality speech-language pathology services, with a focus on scholar outcomes and progress Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Speech Language Pathologist at Osseo Area Schools, you'll need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform instruction Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with scholars, guardians, and colleagues A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with the latest research, technologies, and best practices in speech-language pathology A passion for working with diverse populations, with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by scholars with communication disorders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Osseo Area Schools, we're dedicated to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our staff.
