Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Special Education Substitute Teacher to join our team in Aurora, CO. As a Special Education Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools, and make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs. We offer competitive pay rates, up to $273 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments, as well as a supportive and collaborative community that values your expertise. Key Responsibilities: Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes Exercise classroom and behavior management skills Share your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s) Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired) Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor Complete a Background Check for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)
