As a Remote Data Analyst, you'll play a crucial part in driving business growth by analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform merchandising decisions. About the Role Our Merchandise Planning Analytics team is at the forefront of optimizing the performance of our Front End (non-Pharmacy) businesses, supporting over 100 merchants and 40 planners. As a Remote Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing reporting, analysis, and tool building for our Merchandising team, working with thousands of Own Brand items at the item level. Work Environment 100% remote work arrangement, with a requirement to work in Central Standard Time (CST) Standard working hours: 8am-5pm (9 hour day with a one-hour lunch break from 12pm-1pm) Flexible hours are acceptable, but a minimum of 30 hours per week is required to meet business needs Key Responsibilities Own Brand reporting, recapping, tracking, and analysis, including ad-hoc analysis based on business needs Item-level historical analysis and recapping Item-level future-looking forecasting Utilizing Excel to analyze large data sets and create meaningful executive recaps Developing complex Excel formulas and synthesizing data into actionable insights Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (analytics, data science, finance, financial analysis, assortment planning, retail, procurement/purchasing, merchandising) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field, with a strong understanding of retail merchandising basics and organization structures Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights effectively Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including SUM/SUMIFS, Subtotals, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Macros, and Pivot tables Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders Preferred Qualifications MBA or a quantitative analytical degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Data science experience Retail experience SQL coding skills Microsoft Access and Macro building expertise What We Offer At blithequark, we're committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
