About Amazon and the AWS Secrets Management Team Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. The AWS Secrets Management team is part of the AWS Cryptography organization, responsible for managing and distributing credentials and secrets across millions of hosts deployed for internal Amazon customers and AWS clients. This team is dedicated to providing a seamless and secure secrets management experience, enabling clients to meet their strict security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure solutions for secrets management and distribution, central to most AWS services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure solutions for clients, ensuring the protection of their sensitive information. Participate in daily development and operation activities, including design reviews, code reviews, and implementation. Communicate with influential clients to understand their requirements and provide explanations of the technology. Own and shape the growth of multiple new components and features, accelerating your learning in a dynamic environment that values work-life balance. Essential Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, with a strong background in programming languages. 2+ years of non-internship experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security. Experience with software programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Experience with cloud security, secrets management, and cryptography. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and develop scalable solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influential clients. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The base pay for this role ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
