Job Highlights Position: Experienced Site Reliability Engineer Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: Wells Fargo Location: Remote (work from home) Key Responsibilities As an SRE at Wells Fargo, you will be responsible for: Instantiating Site Reliability Engineering practices at Wells Fargo, igniting the practice, principles, and culture leading by example Developing an SRE framework across the technology suite of applications and infrastructure with full-stack development skillsets (front-end, back-end, and database) Utilizing Machine Learning and Automation skillsets to analyze data (incident, change, problem) and identify automation opportunities Driving observability best practices while setting up, monitoring, and alerting at the Service Level Objective ("SLO") threshold Identifying primary incident patterns that are both P1/P2 or P3 customer-impacting and implementing Predictive Failure Analytics through Machine Learning (ML) to proactively identify patterns of failure and address the issue to avoid a major incident Designing self-healing resiliency patterns to improve the reliability of the environment/applications by organizing sustainable controls across failure patterns Exploring and implementing use cases of AI in operation control to drive modernizing the operation (ModOps) culture at the firm Implementing infrastructure, configuration, and infrastructure as code for the systems within your remit Understanding service level indicators and using service level objectives to proactively resolve problems before they affect customers Supporting the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within your team Introducing enterprise skills, tools, and innovation to enhance availability in multi-cloud environments by evolving observability, monitoring, logging, CI/CD integration, continuous testing (performance, smoke, regression, functional, chaos), introducing continuous development, standardization/automation, skills to conduct negative and resiliency testing Automating key SRE metrics and IT Service Operations processes, including customer impact, % availability of critical business flows, SLO/SLI adherence, error budget, automating the incident process for IT Service Operations via data integrating with unified communications, alerting/notification systems, and evolving ChatOps to reduce time to recovery Sharing aid responsibilities for critical applications and customer journeys onboarded to SRE, including remediation of problems via Agile, conducting blameless post-mortems, root cause analysis, and introducing continuous development fixing problems once and for all with the intention of no repeats Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent proven through one or a combination of the following: work experience, education, military experience, training Proven Technical Expertise with one or more of the following: Software Development: Java, Go, C/C++, Scala, Python, SQL OS and Platform: AWS, Lambda, PCF, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, Azure, Windows, VMware CI/CD and Automation: Jenkins, Gitlab, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, Puppet, Apigee Observability and AIOPS: DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Elastic, Kibana, Kafka, CloudWatch, Jaeger, Zipkin, Kinesis, Apache Airflow, AppDynamics Candidate should exhibit outstanding communication skills, strong judgment, and ability to work effectively with the client, IT management and staff, and other organizations in Information Technology, including vendor resources Desired Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are desirable: Bachelor's Degree Experience working with international teams in the Banking domain What We Offer At Wells Fargo, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Well-being programs Parental and Critical Caregiving Leaves Paid time off 401(k) Plan Discounts & savings Commuter benefits Adoption reimbursement Education benefits Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As an SRE at Wells Fargo, you will have access to a wide range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including: Professional development programs Training and certification opportunities Mentorship and coaching Opportunities to work on high-impact projects Collaboration with experienced engineers and industry experts Work Environment and Company Culture At Wells Fargo, we pride ourselves on our collaborative and inclusive work environment.
