Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Development team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering products and improvements for a changing world. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting and developing software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics, leveraging sophisticated technologies and partnerships. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software/storage environments, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. Prepare written software specifications for sophisticated products from architectural diagrams and documents, demonstrating a deep understanding of software engineering principles. Build and review design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation as needed, to facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders. Develop, review, and implement test strategies for software products and systems, ensuring thorough testing and quality assurance. Collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage the most advanced technologies and tools, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. Essential Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: 5-7 years of development experience on ETL technologies (Informatica, Streamsets), with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. 3 years of hands-on experience with one of the database systems (SQL Server, Oracle), demonstrating a strong understanding of database principles and management. Good analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions. Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Good team player, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Desirable Requirements While not essential, experience in the following areas would be highly desirable: Experience with any graph technologies (e.g., Tigergraph), demonstrating an understanding of graph databases and their applications. Experience with any other RDBMS technologies (e.g., Oracle), showing a broad understanding of database management systems. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Technical Skills: Proficiency in software development languages, experience with agile development methodologies, and knowledge of cloud computing platforms.
