Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely delivery of DME equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation to meet insurance guidelines. **Key Responsibilities:** * Receive, qualify, and verify hospital discharges and specialty orders, including determining authorization status and scheduling delivery of DME equipment * Assist patients with placing orders for DME, including bedside commodes, walkers, and wheelchairs * Communicate with patients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless transition of care * Participate in phone and face-to-face interactions with patients, case managers, and insurance companies * Verify billing status, active insurance, and prior authorizations as required by insurance companies * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with insurance guidelines * Collaborate with internal and external customers, including patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies **Essential Qualifications:** * High School Diploma or GED * Minimum 1 year of experience in DME, preferably in a healthcare setting * Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on customer service and care coordination * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present clear and concise information * Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in a dynamic work environment * Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software, with a preference for Brightree, Parachute, and Epic **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare software * Knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations * Ability to work independently and make decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills * Ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with insurance guidelines * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction * Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
