Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Business Analytics team, responsible for designing, improving, and maintaining our team's data pipelines and manipulating our internal database. As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in transforming records into actionable reporting, insights, and automation. You will partner with our data scientists and analysts to lay and build powerful data pipelines required for our modeling, and work closely with our IT BI team to validate and push optimized queries with logic to our upstream DataMart. Key Responsibilities Design, improve, and maintain the principal data and infrastructure powering our business modeling, including databases, data pipelines, and servers Partner with our data scientists and analysts to lay and build powerful data pipelines required for our modeling Partner with our analysts to design optimized SQL queries, enabling scalable reporting with a growing data volume Coordinate with the IT BI team to validate and push optimized queries with logic to our upstream DataMart Build and maintain local ETLs for our specific data technology models and ad-hoc reporting Partner with the IT BI team to enable data sharing process to flow between our internal database and our corporate data warehouse, and/or any other local database Think strategically about building a scalable system with a growing data volume and identify process gaps/areas for optimization & automation Essential Qualifications Mastery of relational databases, SQL, and ETL tools Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar 5+ years of experience in data architecture or related field Proven track record in building, deploying, and optimizing complex data pipelines (batch and streaming) Deep understanding of data architecture best practices and normalization techniques Solid experience with Unix/Shell, Python, and big data technologies (Apache Spark, Kafka) Preferred Qualifications Expertise in designing distributed APIs, web services, and using orchestration tools (Docker, Apache Airflow, CI/CD) Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing solutions Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
