Experienced Senior Data Analyst for Disney Streaming Services – Data Analysis and Subscriber Management Expert

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Subscriber Operations capability within the Data Analysis group, responsible for the valuation of subscriber adjustments across the Disney Streaming portfolio, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+. Job Summary The primary responsibility of this role is to support ongoing companion measurement for various business-critical initiatives. You will work closely with our upstream messaging partners to ensure accurate delivery of subscription change messaging (including price increases, subscriber arrangements, and new data being collected) by determining which subscribers should receive our legally committed notifications. Additionally, you will help identify subscribers impacted by incidents requiring timely and lawful remediations. You will collaborate with incident management, Business Operations, and trade engineering to ensure the integrity of our subscriber adjustments and that customers receive refunds when required. Key Responsibilities Manage data intake and document requirements related to subscriber messaging campaigns (including price increases, subscriber arrangements, and new data being collected) and incident remediation (ensuring that the right customers receive refunds when required) Develop queries based on required business logic, sometimes legally committing, to determine accurate companions of subscribers for messaging and/or remediation Communicate business requirements to technical teams and provide concise summaries of technical progress or potential detours to business stakeholders Develop strong knowledge of subscriber adjustments and the technical system that underlies subscriber data Manage project planning and timelines and facilitate cross-functional delivery to ensure readiness for significant business events Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance through the development of strong communication processes and operational playbooks In collaboration with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering, contribute to the design of robust reporting solutions that minimize data incidents Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: 2+ years of work experience developing in SQL, particularly in an ETL processing pipeline 2+ years of analytical experience Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and/or analytical concepts to a wide range of audiences Knowledge of Python/R or other statistical programming languages Knowledge of data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc. Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Understanding of statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis) Postgraduate degree Knowledge of Airflow Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Disney, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
