Position Overview: Senior Data Analyst – IT
We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our Digital Technology team. As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty technology teams. Key Responsibilities
Digital Performance Analysis: Analyze the digital performance of applications and systems that impact business functionality. Understand the right questions to ask regarding platform data tied to Digital Channels.
Data Analysis Work Streams: Develop streamlined and comprehensive data analysis work streams that provide meaningful business intelligence.
Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Application Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough application performance analysis, identifying error patterns and the top factors contributing to errors.
Process Improvement: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, providing recommendations for enhanced performance and greater flexibility.
Dashboard Development: With domain expertise, build trusted data products including dashboards and reporting products that support Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty leadership in making data-driven decisions regarding application performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with US and India Data Center teams to develop comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions.
Platform Monitoring: Track new platform updates and application releases, learning existing applications and systems to navigate system performance, dive into errors, response times, and service logs.
Data Collection: Define new data collection and tagging processes, creating universal dashboards that serve multiple business units.
Stakeholder Communication: Deliver and communicate updates to leadership, including assembling regular presentations that highlight key insights and recommendations.
Operational Metrics: Partner with Digital Operations Center (DOC) on operational metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, analytics, or data engineering, with at least 3 of those years in a Fortune 500 corporate environment
3 years of experience in e-commerce platform development
Proven experience creating presentations for stakeholders and leadership, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to create a compelling vision, inspire teams toward that vision, and provide support to achieve organizational goals
Extensive experience with BI and reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tibco Spotfire, or similar platforms to create meaningful, rich dashboards
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling
Experience analyzing e-commerce platforms for Web, Mobile Application, and Loyalty programs
Demonstrated expertise in handling large datasets and working with relational databases (SQL) and non-relational databases (NoSQL)
Ability to understand business needs and design data/technology metrics that connect business processes with measurable platform outcomes
Strong understanding of critical metrics and Goal Setting frameworks
Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation and analysis
Excellent problem-solving skills, using data to address and resolve business challenges
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview process to meet job eligibility requirements
Reliable, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferably in Computer Science, Aviation Management, or Operations Research
Google Data Analytics Professional Certification, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications
Experience with Palantir Foundry and client-side performance measurement tools such as Quantum Metrics
4 years in a leadership or lead role
Experience with DataDog, AppDynamics, or Kibana for application monitoring
Experience with enterprise monitoring systems
Experience with Palantir Foundry and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Prior airline or travel industry experience
Experience with AWS technologies including Redshift, QuickSight, and Athena
Experience with Google BigQuery
Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery using Agile methodologies
Experience with regression analysis for performance predictions, including various regression techniques
