Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Retail Media Trade (CMX) division. In this role, you will serve as a critical resource for driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science to transform raw data into actionable insights that power our retail media strategies.

This position reports to the Manager of Business Insights and offers the flexibility of remote work with a competitive hourly rate of $21 per hour. This is a part-time opportunity that provides an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Analysis

Identify, extract, and aggregate data from various internal and external sources to create comprehensive reports and analyses.
Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to pull, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from our data warehouses.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions and support strategic initiatives across departments.
Proactively identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data that could impact business performance.


Data Visualization & Reporting

Design and develop intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all data presentations to enable informed decision-making.
Create executive-level presentations that translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Maintain and optimize existing dashboards and reporting tools to ensure they remain relevant and valuable.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
Act as a subject matter expert on data-related projects and initiatives, providing guidance and support to stakeholders.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization to elevate data literacy.
Work collaboratively to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.


Data Quality Assurance & Integrity

Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting.
Proactively identify potential issues in data quality and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure consistency across all analytical deliverables.
Document data sources, methodologies, and processes to support transparency and reproducibility.


Required Qualifications


Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in SQL with Big Query or similar database platforms.
Data Visualization: Minimum of 4 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
Data Analysis: Minimum of 4 years of experience conducting data analysis and deriving actionable insights.
Technical Skills: Minimum of 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience will also be considered.


Preferred Qualifications


Hands-on experience working with digital media technology stacks, including understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystems.
Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), Google Cloud Platform, or Adobe Marketing Cloud.
Strong understanding of retail media, digital advertising, or e-commerce analytics.
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and across multiple functional areas.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
