Company : Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: Performs basic clinical and administrative functions to support genetic counseling and risk assessment for individuals at risk. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Creates and updates patient pedigrees in risk assessment software. (20%) • Assists genetics counselors in communication of normal test results to patients and physicians. (20%) • Administers patient intake forms and completes family histories. (20%) • Retrieves patient MR, scans EHR, performs maintenance on genetic counseling data.(20%) • Assists with the creation of patient education, lecture and seminar materials. (10%) • Assists in clinical investigations by performing literature searches. (5%) • Performs other duties assigned.
