Job Summary
As the Sales Director for CDS, you will be responsible for developing and executing long-term sales strategies, annual sales plans, and regional event volume strategies. You will work closely with the Costco General Merchandise Manager (GMM) to establish sales objectives, identify discrepancies in expected volume, and influence change to get the volume back on track. Your role will also involve devising creative new programs and services for Costco and its vendors, collaborating with Costco buying management, and providing valuable insights about consumer profiles and trends.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term sales strategies and annual sales plans in coordination with the CDS business plan
Establish relationships with strong customer focus and collaborate with Costco buying management in each region
Provide valuable insights about consumer profiles and trends to inform sales strategies
Establish annual and monthly sales objectives and work directly with the Costco GMM to establish regional event volume strategies
Identify discrepancies in expected volume and influence change to get the volume back on track
Devise creative new programs and services for Costco and its vendors, and sell in these services to ensure successful implementation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management or business development, with a strong record of successfully developing sales strategies and sales plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Strong negotiation and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers
Analytical, strategic, and creative thinking, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve sales goals
