About the Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of highly visible, robust automation tools and solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working backwards from customer needs to identify the right sets of tools to build and achieve the best quality and customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

Driving test automation efforts for critical and complex technical projects spanning multiple teams and Amazon businesses
Designing and coding modules for infrastructure, application, and processes to help build the Machine Learning training and inference platforms
Identifying and driving improvements in test tools, test environments, and reporting mechanisms
Influencing the implementation of the right solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration


Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in software development, testing, and automation. The following qualifications and skills are essential:

2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows


Preferred Qualifications and Skills
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experience are preferred:

Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and technologies, including AWS
Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNet
