Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning, building, testing, and maintenance of data pipelines at a large scale. You will work closely with our team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our data management systems. This is a remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities: Support the planning, building, testing, and maintenance of data pipelines at a large scale Assist with updating data from multiple data sources Work on batch processing of collected data and match its format to the stored data Ensure that the data is handled and analyzed correctly Help maintain the environment and pipeline optimized and efficient Investigate standard performance, data-related issues, and provide L3 support Implement parsers, validators, transformers, and correlators to reformat, update, and upgrade the data Provide recommendations for highly complex issues Offer guidance to those in less senior positions Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Technical background in computer science, programming, database systems, and distributed systems Sharp understanding of the transportation and logistics space with the ability to identify high-opportunity areas and design approaches and solutions that generate and capture value Experience with Microsoft Azure Knowledge of and demonstrated expertise in building CI/CD pipelines Experience with creating and operationalizing functions and solutions, including under near-real-time high-volume streaming conditions Involved development skills with the ability to work at the code level and help troubleshoot hard-to-determine issues Demonstrated ability to deliver technical projects, often working under close time constraints to deliver value An 'engineering' mindset, able to make fast, practical decisions to improve performance and accelerate progress Comfort with working with distributed teams on code-based expectations, using version control systems and code reviews Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with DevOps, including coding, scripting, database, YAML, JSON, and IaC (Terraform) Proficiency in languages and tools such as Spark (Scala and PySpark), HDFS, Kafka, and other high-volume data tools Experience with SQL and NoSQL storage devices, such as MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch Knowledge of Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, Jupyter, and other Python data tools Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
