About the Role: Data Entry and IT Infrastructure Engineer We're seeking an experienced Data Entry and IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a competitive salary of $28 per hour. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our IT infrastructure team, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise and support to our IT infrastructure team, including server administration, network management, and application support Design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure, including cloud-based systems and applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, and implement process improvements Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, process maps, and user guides Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in IT infrastructure, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades Provide training and support to junior team members, and contribute to the development of our IT infrastructure team Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you'll need: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including server administration, network management, and application support Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Linux, Windows, and cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS, or IBM Cloud Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and support Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, including server administration, network management, and application support Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team Career Growth and Development Opportunities At American Airlines, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
