Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Remote Data Engineer to build and maintain massive information pipelines to support advanced analytics and data generation solutions. The successful candidate will identify precious internal and external data, collaborate closely with data scientists to define data for the design, improvement, and deployment of new solutions that drive company priorities. As a Remote Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will develop software applications that process, store, and serve data for use by others, and design data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data that enables insight generation and addresses reporting needs. Key Responsibilities Develops software applications that process, store, and serve data for use by others Designs data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data that enables insight generation and addresses reporting needs Writes ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) techniques, designs database systems, and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing Develops data pipelines that are highly scalable, repeatable, and secure Troubleshoots software applications and systems for data consistency and integrity Integrates data from multiple sources, ensuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur Interacts with internal and external partners and/or managers to communicate semi-complex information related to assigned tasks Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR a Graduate Degree in a technical discipline Advanced knowledge of SQL Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (colleagues, business partners, and leadership) and external (business network, clients, and vendors) stakeholders within a matrix organization to ensure excellent service Experience reading and reporting data in a meaningful way to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within the United States and internationally) Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: A Graduate Degree in a technical discipline Experience with REST API development Experience with Azure software deployment Experience with Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks using Python or Scala, App Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Logic App Experience building Azure DevOps pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaaS), and automation Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills in data engineering, including data pipeline development, data warehousing, and data analytics Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and engineers Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data quality and integrity Experience working with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
