Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced remote contract attorney to join our client's team. As a contract attorney, you will work on a variety of consumer protection and class action cases, providing exceptional legal services to clients and helping to drive success for the firm. Key Responsibilities Case Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of consumer protection and class action cases, including reviewing and synthesizing complex data, identifying key issues, and developing effective litigation strategies. Document Preparation: Prepare and draft various documents, including complaints, motions, and responses to discovery requests. Court Appearances: Make appearances in court, including hearings, depositions, and trials, as needed. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and advising on strategy. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to achieve case goals and objectives. Staying Current: Stay up-to-date on developments in consumer protection and class action law, including changes in legislation, regulations, and case law. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Education: Graduate of a law degree from an ABA-accredited institution. Bar Admission: Admitted to the California Bar. Experience: 0-2 years of experience in class action and consumer protection lawsuits. Skills: Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and develop effective litigation strategies. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Class Action and Consumer Protection: Experience working on class action and consumer protection cases, including experience with litigation, settlements, and appeals. Familiarity with Relevant Laws: Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including consumer protection laws, such as the Unfair Competition Law, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. Research and Writing: Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to draft and edit complex documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
