American Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Quality Control Specialist to join their team on a full-time, remote basis. As a member of the Technical Operations Quality Control and Engineering Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in aircraft maintenance and repair. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading airline, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive success and growth. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting quality control's role in managing American Airlines' FAA Section 145 Repair Station requirements and Inspection Program. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including government regulators, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Key Responsibilities Focus on Customer Needs and Requirements : Understand and prioritize customer needs, ensuring that quality control processes meet their expectations. Regulatory Compliance : Direct regulatory requirements, including all aspects of American Airlines' CFR Section 145, Repair Station declaration requirements, and guide activities involving manuals, programs, status records, and certificate restorations. Collaboration with Government Regulators : Work with government regulators during reviews and ensure that AA policies and procedures are aligned with government requirements. Supervise and Oversee FAA-Granted Repairman Certification Program : Manage the Repairman certification program, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. Investigate Maintenance Records : Research maintenance records to ensure American Airlines' inspection program is adhered to, and discuss findings with various work groups to advance policy for the inspection program. Data Entry/PC Skills : Utilize IBM Notes, MS Word, Excel, and Tech Operations Home to perform tasks efficiently. Knowledge of Manuals : Familiarity with manuals, including Amm's, GPM, RSQCM, BMPM, EASA Supplemental, and ability to create and submit manual changes. Occasional Business Travel : Travel as required to perform job duties. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience : A four-year degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. 3 Years' Experience in Carrier Technical Operations : Proven experience in a technical operations role within the airline industry. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions. Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you will ideally possess: Ability to Adapt and Innovate : Capacity to change existing processes by correcting issues, resolving problems, and updating existing work procedures. Employee First - Customer First Mentality : A strong customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional service. Ability to Multitask and Prioritize : Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with a strong sense of prioritization. A&P Authorization : A&P authorization is preferred, with Airframe and Powerplants Permit also desirable. Technical Skills : Familiarity with IBM Notes, Groups, Microsoft Office, SQL, SharePoint, and other relevant technologies.
