Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. As a mid-level QA specialist, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, automating test scripts, identifying defects, and collaborating to improve the overall development process. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in QA methodologies, strong technical skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional software solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API-based applications. Perform manual and automated testing, focusing on functionality, usability, performance, and security. Identify, track, and document software defects using tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and work closely with development teams to resolve issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, and operations) to ensure software quality at every stage of the development lifecycle. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to continuously improve testing practices. Create and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or other similar technologies. Conduct regression testing and ensure consistent functionality across multiple releases. Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices to increase efficiency and quality. Ensure that testing activities comply with established standards and provide comprehensive reports on test progress, results, and metrics. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on software testing in an agile environment. Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types (functional, regression, performance, etc.), and best practices. Experience with manual testing, and proficiency in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit). Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and solve complex issues. Experience testing web-based applications, mobile applications, and APIs. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Familiarity with security testing concepts and tools. Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) to contribute to test automation efforts. Certification in quality assurance or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
