Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, preferably within the mechanical or HVAC sector, and a proven track record of coordinating complex projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities Coordinate equipment delivery to customer sites, ensuring timely and efficient project execution. Participate in customer witnessed/factory witness testing to guarantee product quality and customer satisfaction. Schedule start-up activities, pre-commissioning meetings, and oversee all related activities to ensure smooth project progression. Issue required L2-L5 scope/scripts and oversee all L2-L5 activities, including customer equipment acceptance, start-up, commissioning, and final IST test activities. Coordinate with the service team for warranty visits, parts ordering, and delivery, ensuring compliance with customer SLAs and post-warranty support. Review start-up and commissioning reports from service technicians to identify areas for improvement and optimize future project delivery. Prepare final product/project close-out documents and coordinate training activities post-project close-out to ensure knowledge transfer and customer empowerment. Develop lessons learned and QA/QC project lists for review with engineering, production, QA, and QC teams to drive continuous improvement. Develop preventative maintenance programs and coordinate PM activities throughout the year to ensure ongoing system efficiency and customer satisfaction. Lead and coordinate product updates and upgrades, both internally and with customer sites, to stay ahead of industry developments and customer needs. Perform any other related tasks as directed by your supervisor to contribute to the team's success and the company's growth. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree, with a preference for candidates with a background in construction management and relevant mechanical HVAC project experience. Minimum 3-5 years of project engineer/project manager experience in the mechanical or HVAC marketplace, with data center experience being a significant plus. Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, execute, and negotiate complex projects. Decision-making skills, with the capability to determine the feasibility of plans considering cost, schedule, safety, and quality concerns. Leadership skills, with the ability to lead company field technicians, contractors, consultants, and other internal and external team members towards project success. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels, including owners, engineers, GCs, subcontractors, CX agents, consultants, field staff, and customers. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with high-efficiency oil-free chiller systems or similar technologies. Familiarity with project management tools and software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes. Certifications in project management, such as PMP, or relevant industry certifications, are advantageous but not required. A strong understanding of QA/QC principles and practices, with experience in developing and implementing quality control measures. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
