Key Responsibilities Requisition Management: Manage assigned requisitions and source materials or services from existing vendors whenever possible, ensuring efficient procurement processes. Order Processing: Process orders that require manual intervention, including standing orders, blanket orders, new vendor requests, and service contracts. Compliance Review: Review purchase requisitions for compliance with budget and organizational policies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines. Vendor Selection: Identify and select potential vendors for services or supplies based on availability, price, and quality, driving informed purchasing decisions. Vendor Evaluation: Assist in evaluating new vendor requests and determine their suitability for approval, ensuring the best possible partnerships. Purchase Order Administration: Administer purchase orders from initial request through completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. System Utilization: Utilize automated materials management systems, including electronic data interchange (EDI) and vendor portals, to streamline procurement processes. Product Research: Research products or services as needed using reference sources to ensure informed purchasing decisions. Stakeholder Communication: Provide feedback and updates to stakeholders on outstanding requisitions, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of sourcing decisions with attention to price, quality, and delivery timelines. Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information related to staff, patients, and the organization. Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with management, staff, and vendors to improve department efficiency. Essential Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: 0 years of experience (entry-level position), but a strong willingness to learn and grow in the role. Skills: Strong data entry and supply chain management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Communication: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Procurement Experience: Previous experience in procurement or a related field is highly desirable. System Proficiency: Familiarity with automated materials management systems, EDI, and vendor portals is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and drive informed purchasing decisions. What We Offer Competitive Compensation: A competitive hourly rate of $19-$20.
