Job Overview As a Physical Security Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading security plans for DCs in the Americas Region and influencing AWS overall DC security policies. You will work closely with other AWS Security Teams, AWS Management, and stakeholders to collaborate on the overall implementation of Physical Security across AWS. Your expertise will be crucial in providing specific guidance, influencing the design of DC facilities, resolving complex implementation issues, and developing and presenting security design requirements to internal and external project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead plans (development drawings and details) for physical security components (cameras, access control, intrusion detection, walls, doors, etc.) for DC projects Collaborate with other security teams within AWS to develop design standards, review cost, risk, and benefits of designs, and work with design discussions Pass theoretical designs on to internal partners and external consultants Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and design details for physical security components Develop security design scope of work for design RFPs Review and direct work produced by physical security design consultants Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously Travel for site assessments, design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with design consultants (up to 25%) Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong educational background and relevant work experience.
