**Experienced Per Diem Nurse Instructor – CNA Program – Remote Work Opportunity with Unitek College**

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Per Diem Nurse Instructor to join our team at Unitek College. As a Per Diem Nurse Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach Skills lab every Friday for the first three weeks and teach Clinicals at set facilities for weeks four, five, and six. This is a remote work opportunity with flexible scheduling available, and mileage will be reimbursed for instructors who travel to multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Teach Skills lab every Friday for the first three weeks Teach Clinicals at set facilities for weeks four, five, and six Ensure students are practice-ready and meeting all state regulations for certification prior to the end of the program Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies/techniques in teaching Continually seek out educational opportunities for students in the clinical setting that will enhance their learning experience Assist with updating and maintaining student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements Regularly evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving curriculum and course objectives Provide daily feedback to students in real-time and post-clinical conferences Provide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and assist with program data collection, and skills checklists as required by state regulations Participate in schedule meetings with theory instructors and program directors regarding student progress Demonstrate or willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations Assist with updating and maintaining student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, takes responsibility for staying current with college updates Submit required program reports and forms to Program Director in a timely manner Other duties as assigned by the Program Director Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications: Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure and at least 2 years of nursing experience as a licensed vocational nurse or registered nurse One of the two years should be in providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an Acute Care Hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting Must be verifiable Experience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings Ability to work independently without close supervision Broad knowledge of nursing sciences Successful handling of day-to-day operations in the nursing assistant skills lab Proficient, strong communications skills verbal and written Current knowledge/experience in clinical setting Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed Current state required immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification Successful completion of State Board training (if required) Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Unitek College, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
