Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Patient Collections Coordinator to join our team in Monroeville, PA. As a Patient Collections Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate account payment for outstanding balances while providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers. Key Responsibilities As a Patient Collections Coordinator, you'll be responsible for: Following up with patients/guarantors on open invoices associated with the dispensing of prescription medication via telephone, Internet, and in writing. Resolving issues with nonpayment of invoices due to insurance problems and patient issues that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes, and pharmacy or shipping errors. Maintaining supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances. Maintaining patient demographic information and data collection systems, including all billing or collection reports or queues, while remaining in accordance with company policy guidelines. Contacting patient/guarantor and Physician's offices as well as insurance companies as needed to expedite claims processing. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: 1+ years of healthcare-related experience. Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to commute to the Monroeville, PA office. Preferred Qualifications While not required, we prefer candidates with: Insurance or patient collections experience. Customer service experience in a healthcare environment. Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system. Effective customer service skills and experience working in a team environment. Attention to detail and ability to utilize analytical skills. Ability to navigate through multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on importance. Ability to communicate with clientele in a professional manner, both verbally and written. Education A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
