Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Part-Time Math Tutor to join our team at Utah State University Eastern. As a Math Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing individual and small group tutoring to students in our walk-in tutoring center. Your expertise and guidance will help students understand course material, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities Tutor and assist students during scheduled office hours, providing personalized support and guidance in mathematics Check preferred email daily for work updates and notifications, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness Provide a detailed weekly schedule of availability for work every semester, allowing for effective planning and coordination Attend and participate in department staff meetings and trainings, contributing to the development of our tutoring services and staying up-to-date on best practices Maintain a good working relationship with other tutors, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment Keep a log of all hours worked, including days, times, and tasks completed, ensuring accurate record-keeping and accountability Log in each scheduled workday to log hours worked through AggieTime, streamlining time tracking and payroll processes Ensure tutees complete a sign-in sheet as a participant, monitoring attendance and engagement Communicate frequently with the ATC supervisor and report tutees that may need additional resources, facilitating proactive support and intervention Contact instructors to obtain course syllabus and material to discuss with a tutee, staying informed about course content and requirements Advertise tutor services as required, promoting our tutoring center and encouraging student participation Attend mandatory tutor training sessions as required by the Student Services and Enrollment Management department, enhancing skills and knowledge Maintain good standing and follow the Student Code of Conduct and other university policies, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism Essential Qualifications Current enrollment as a USU Eastern student with 6 or more credits OR a community member with appropriate reference to validate skill-set to tutor subjects Students should acquire recommendation from the instructor of the desired course to tutor, demonstrating expertise and credibility Students must maintain a 3.00 semester GPA;
