Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time high school math tutor to work with students in Chattanooga, Ooltewah, Harrison, and Hixson. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing in-home tutoring services to high school students in various math subjects, including:
High School Math
Algebra
Geometry
Calculus
Homework Prep
Key Responsibilities
As a part-time high school math tutor, your primary responsibilities will include:
Providing one-on-one tutoring services to high school students in their homes
Developing and implementing customized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
Effectively balancing tutoring hours given for each assigned student
Preparing session reports for our office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session
Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
Following up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
Experience with basic Database/Data Entry
Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
Strong administration skills
Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must
Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
