Key Responsibilities Collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and summarize large amounts of time-series data to generate key insights and drive business growth Apply mathematical and statistical principles to create long-term forecasting algorithms that solve complex business problems in retail Perform data exploration tasks, extract insights, and create storyboards from data analysis Present clear and accurate root-cause analysis to data scientists and leadership Build training workflows for machine learning algorithms on tens of millions of data points and create algorithmic solutions, including data expertise, feature engineering, model development, validation, and model deployment Lead and develop large-scale implementations of machine learning models and algorithmic solutions using rich retail data sources Review model performance and identify improvements to enhance models Collaborate with global AI team, scientists, engineers, and business partners to identify and lead new opportunities Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, with at least 7 years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist At least 2 years of experience working with large amounts of data and solving business problems Experience with machine learning, risk theory, and statistics, as well as programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, and Spark Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, algorithms, and computational complexity Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings and reports to stakeholders Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with: A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, with at least 4 years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist Experience with Hive or Hadoop, machine learning, text mining, and Spark Knowledge of database architecture, linear programming, and data mining skills Experience with software engineering practices and the ability to prototype individual components of data science solutions Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
