About the Role We're seeking highly motivated and caring professionals to join our team as Autism/ABA Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you'll play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs under the guidance of our experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this rewarding field, making it an ideal opportunity for both experienced professionals and those new to the industry. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism, promoting skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Collect and record behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, ensuring accurate and informative progress reports. Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and execute treatment plans developed by our BCBA supervisors. Collaborate closely with BCBA supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy, ensuring the highest quality care. Respond promptly to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a professional and goal-oriented approach. Arrive on time and be thoroughly prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to reliability and excellence. Essential Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education) is a plus. A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting; direct ABA experience is desirable but not mandatory. If lacking direct ABA experience, 1-2 years of experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting is considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record; auto insurance is also required. Preferred Qualifications Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience with Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans and ABA therapy principles. Previous work in autism support or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in the specific needs of individuals with autism. Respond quickly to the movements and behaviors of children, sometimes over short distances (up to 100 feet). Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, adapting to various environments.
