About the Role
As an Operations Analytics Co-op at Delta Airlines, you will have the opportunity to work with our analytics specialists to drive business outcomes and improve operational efficiency. You will be working on a variety of projects, including competitive analysis, safety and security, crew operations, and customer experience, among others.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and analyze operational performance and customer satisfaction metrics
Identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven insights to inform business decisions
Research and analyze operational data to identify trends and patterns
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
Perform reliability and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement
Evaluate and provide recommendations for improving key operational metrics, such as on-time performance and gate efficiency
Maintain and enhance staffing models to support airport operations
Provide strategic and operational support to drive business outcomes
Develop and track performance metrics and goals
Create statistical reviews of new processes and systems
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
Be actively enrolled in a 4-year degree program, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or Information Systems
Be available for three alternating semesters (Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Summer 2025)
Possess strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis
Have a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
Be a team player with a strong commitment to continuous improvement methodologies
Prioritize safety and security in all aspects of your work
Embrace diversity and inclusion in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:
Proficiency in BRIO or comparable database query tool knowledge and Macro programming
