You will work closely with the English and Humanities Department Chair and other faculty members to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education. This is a part-time position, and we are seeking individuals who can commit to teaching a variety of courses, including day, night, and weekend classes. **Key Responsibilities** * Teach a variety of courses in the humanities, including art, English/literature, music, theatre, philosophy, and more * Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with the college's mission and goals * Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students * Work closely with the English and Humanities Department Chair and other faculty members to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education * Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and activities * Maintain currency in your teaching discipline and stay up-to-date with best practices in online teaching and learning **Essential Qualifications** * Master's degree in a humanities discipline (art, English/literature, music, theatre, philosophy, or humanities) or Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in a humanities discipline * Master's degree in any discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of humanities disciplines * Previous online teaching experience is preferred, but not required * Ability to teach a variety of courses, including day, night, and weekend classes * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience teaching online courses * Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools * Experience with curriculum development and assessment * Strong knowledge of the humanities and ability to teach a variety of courses in this discipline **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion * Strong knowledge of the humanities and ability to teach a variety of courses in this discipline * Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools * Ability to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with the college's mission and goals * Strong assessment and evaluation skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As an Online Instructor - Humanities at BRCC, you will have the opportunity to grow your career and develop your skills in a variety of areas.
