We are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Online Community Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, working remotely with a focus on weekend support. Position Overview This exciting opportunity involves supporting the delivery of our online community services, including the Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Support Forum and wider Online Communities initiatives. As an Online Community Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of our services, providing support to service users, handling queries, and contributing to projects that enhance our online offerings. Your expertise and passion for community management, online content moderation, and digital communications will be essential in helping us achieve our mission. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional support to service users through our online platforms, ensuring timely and effective responses to queries and concerns Collaborate with Online Community Assistants and Coordinators to maintain the smooth operation of our services, including handling mailbox queries and developing support projects Develop and implement strategies to promote engagement, inclusivity, and community growth within our online forums and initiatives Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and industry developments in community management, online content moderation, and digital communications Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure the highest standards of online community management and user experience Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in community management, dementia awareness, and digital communications Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: Experience or training in community management, online content moderation, or digital communications Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork Strong understanding of online community management principles, including community engagement, content moderation, and user experience Familiarity with dementia and the needs of people affected by dementia (desirable) Proficiency in digital communication tools, including email, instant messaging, and online forum software Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills would be highly desirable: Experience working in a similar role, particularly in the non-profit or healthcare sector Knowledge of online community management platforms, including forum software and content management systems Understanding of social media marketing principles and practices Experience with project management tools and techniques Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to track and analyze community metrics and user engagement Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
