Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients in our retail health clinic setting. Primary Care Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive family health care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
Deliver expert health counseling and anticipate patient needs to promote long-term wellness and preventive care
Perform thorough patient evaluations and manage care plans that address both immediate health concerns and long-term health goals
Conduct wellness visits, health screenings, and preventive care services that help patients stay ahead of potential health issues
Offer education and guidance on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
Clinical Procedures and Patient Care
Interview patients about healthy lifestyle choices and complete diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses
Administer vaccinations and injections, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, tuberculosis, and Depo-Provera
Provide evidence-based patient and parent immunization guidance and education
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive care plans for patients
Perform wellness screenings and assessments that identify at-risk patients for early intervention
Administrative and Operational Duties
Handle opening and closing procedures for the clinic to ensure smooth daily operations
Manage inventory and supplies to maintain a well-stocked, efficient clinical environment
Oversee patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize care delivery efficiency
Verify insurance coverage and collect payments accurately and professionally
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all patients and team members
Handle patient appointments and conduct triage assessments to ensure positive patient outcomes
Patient Engagement and Education
Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare and overall well-being
Provide education on social health, wellness programs, and chronic condition management
Offer counseling on pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices
Support patients in making informed decisions about their health through compassionate communication and evidence-based information
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Requirements
Graduate degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role
OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related graduate degree equivalent along with a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license
Minimum of two years of clinically relevant experience
Completion of the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including the ability to perform CPR and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Ability to pass a FIT test and wear provided respirator masks when protocol requires
Depending on market needs, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages, particularly Spanish, is highly valued
Preferred Qualifications
If less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, previous student precepting experience with arenaflex is preferred but not required
Demonstrated experience in retail health, urgent care, or primary care settings
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse patient populations
Experience with electronic health records and modern clinical documentation systems
