Experienced Middle School Math Tutor – Virtual, Flexible, and REMOTE Opportunity for Teachers

About the Role We are seeking experienced middle school math teachers to join our community of highly qualified Teacher-Tutors. As a virtual math tutor, you will provide small group instruction to middle school students, helping them build a strong foundation in math and achieve academic success. This is a part-time, remote opportunity that offers flexible hours and a competitive compensation rate. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual small group instruction to middle school students in math, focusing on grades 6-8. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners. Use technology, such as Google Classroom and Zoom, to facilitate online instruction and communication with students and parents. Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas for improving student outcomes. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in online teaching and learning. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 3 years of math lead teaching experience in a U.S. K-12 public, private, or charter school. A valid U.S. teaching credential (exceptions may be considered for retired teachers with recently lapsed credential and classroom experience). Daytime availability for tutoring sessions. Experience teaching K-12 math in the classroom (bonus points!) Experience teaching in an online environment (bonus points!) Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom (bonus points!) Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction (bonus points!) Active teaching credential (bonus points!) Experience using Microsoft Teams (bonus points!) SPED or ELL teaching experience (bonus points!) Dedication to advancing equity in schools (bonus points!) Experience teaching Spanish Language Arts (bonus points!) Benefits As a member of our Teacher-Tutor Community, you will enjoy: A competitive compensation rate of $36.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus for light preparation.
