Job Overview: Overprovisions Representative (Medical Billing) As an Overprovisions Representative, you'll play a critical role in our medical billing operations, ensuring the accurate processing of credit balances, recoupments, adjustments, and unidentified payments for our Hospitalist and Clinic groups. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and communicative individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Review guarantor, government payers, and commercial insurance overpayments to determine refund eligibility Create manual tasks in ETM for invoices with overpayments and follow up on outstanding tasks to resolution Assemble documentation to validate refunds and obtain senior approval Handle telephone inquiries and correspondence related to credit balances, following written procedures Process payment transfers and cancelled check research forms Contact insurance carriers and guarantors as necessary to resolve credit balances, offsets, and unidentified payments Identify and report consistent errors affecting account processing Participate in team meetings with the Overprovisions Supervisor to discuss key reports and trends Research unidentified invoices and reports to determine the appropriate application of payments Perform duties as directed by Senior Representative, Supervisor, and/or Manager Essential Qualifications and Experience: To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum high school diploma or equivalent At least one year of experience in medical billing Demonstrated success working in a team environment, meeting organization goals and objectives Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and follow through without direct supervision Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Zoom Strong organizational skills, maintaining accuracy and production Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Additional experience in medical billing or a related field Knowledge of healthcare administration and billing regulations Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software Skills and Competencies: To excel as an Overprovisions Representative, you'll need: Attention to detail and analytical skills Effective communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we're committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our employees.
