As a Medical Biller at Blithequark, you'll play a critical role in generating revenue, collecting accounts, and monitoring delinquent accounts. You'll utilize your expertise in billing software, medical insurance policies, and data analysis to drive revenue growth and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Management: Generate revenue by making payment arrangements, collecting accounts, and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts. Delinquent Account Management: Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments, and following up with patients when payment lapses occur. Collection Agency Management: Utilize collection agencies and small claims courts to collect accounts by evaluating and selecting collection agencies, determining the appropriateness of pursuing legal remedies, and testifying in court cases, when necessary. Medicare Bad-Debt Cost Report: Maintain accurate and up-to-date Medicare bad-debt cost reports. Outstanding Balance Payments: Secure outstanding balance payments for care of employees. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements Proven Work Experience: Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Billing Software and Electronic Medical Records: Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records, including proficiency in data analysis and reporting. Multitasking and Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, agents, and internal stakeholders. Problem-Solving and Organizational Abilities: Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Education: A Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
