Job Summary We're looking for an exceptional Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and tutoring services, interacting with parents, and contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, using the Mathnasium Method ™ and digital educational materials Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, using individualized instruction in a group setting Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions, and collaborate with team members to deliver the best possible experience Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's success Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate: A passion for math and working with students Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members Exceptional math competency, through at least Algebra I The ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities and managing time effectively A willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method ™ Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued: Previous experience in math education or tutoring A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels Familiarity with digital educational materials and online learning platforms Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs A patient and supportive approach to teaching and tutoring A willingness to learn and grow with our team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium of San Marcos, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
