Experienced Manager, Analytics – Data-Driven Insights and Business Intelligence for Global Paid Media Optimization

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Analytics to join our team and play a key role in driving business growth and optimization through data-driven insights and business intelligence. As a Manager, Analytics, you will be responsible for supporting our paid media analysis capability to surface data-driven key opportunities for the Chief Growth team, focusing on the advancement of our paid media spend globally. You will work closely with marketing teams to identify ways of working on the efficiencies of our paid media spend and develop revealing and analyses to inform and drive decisions, and develop KPIs and scorecards to track progress/execution to drive an emphasis on results and execution.

About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual with a strong background in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality insights and recommendations that drive business growth and optimization. You should be able to scope an issue, form pertinent questions, draw important information, and provide insights from the data. You should be an autonomous, logical self-starter with sharp critical thinking abilities, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to analyze information and draw inferences.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate insights and recommendations in the space of paid media
Plan and develop/lead the advancement of analysis, BI, and data science projects fully focused on streamlining visible paid media and improving marketing efficiencies
Work with paid media data science team and marketing teams on executing media blend models
Lead assigned analysis through database questioning, followed by astute translation of results and the detailing and communication of recommendations that drive action
Collaborate with marketing, finance, and product teams to handle business challenges, and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach
Influence Organized Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Success, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and Adhoc reports
Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with partners to use data (internal data from Visible and Amazon, as well as external data from research and marketing firms) and address complex business challenges by conveying meaningful insights
Conceptualize and run analysis that produce insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and refine our value proposition


Essential Capabilities

Experience in the space of Business Intelligence, Analysis, or Consulting in an e-commerce or related field
High-level SQL experience
High-level involvement in at least one industry analysis and measurement perception device (e.g. Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI)
Mastery in Success with a demonstrated history
Degree in data science, business, finance, data engineering, statistics, mathematics, or other related field

Superb communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with both business leadership and technical teams effectively
Experience with collaboration, membership-based, or media content organizations
Experience with and/or interest to learn more on state-of-the-art data science approaches
Programming languages: knowledge of Python
Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS
Knowledge of Adobe Analytics
