Job Overview: Maintenance Control Technician We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Control Technician to join our team in Dallas, USA. As a Maintenance Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. You will provide technical guidance and support to our maintenance teams, coordinate maintenance activities, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Coordinate maintenance activities, including scheduling and planning, to ensure efficient and safe operations Collaborate with other departments, including operations and engineering, to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly Review and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Provide training and support to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aviation maintenance, engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in aviation maintenance, preferably in a maintenance control or technical support role F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant license Knowledge of MEL, ETOPS, and GPM Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and days off Ability to travel for support of unavailable aircraft Report to work on a regular and timely basis Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access honors to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) Preferred qualifications include: Broad flight or maintenance control experience Broad airplane systems troubleshooting experience Experience with maintenance management systems and software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with maintenance teams, other departments, and external stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety and quality Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Airlines, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
