Working at the bleeding edge, we plan and deliver programming systems changes as well as upgrades of new products. We supervise product development at all stages: planning, designing, developing, and testing operating systems, compilers, switches, utilities, databases, embedded management and control devices, as well as web-related tools.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in delivering IaaS/PaaS/SaaS for the ISG Development teams. We accelerate the speed of innovation to address their needs by ensuring all critical systems are running 24x7 to support Engineering Development while simultaneously driving division-wide Change Initiatives to modernize Engineering Operations across multiple lines of business.

What You'll Accomplish

The TechOps organization is at the heart of arenaflex's infrastructure excellence. You'll be responsible for maintaining and sustaining our core K8s system platforms orchestrated through OpenShift, Rancher, and Tanzu to appropriate standards and best practices in a fast-paced work environment. Your technical leadership will be crucial in supporting our internal clients' needs for "On-Demand K8s Cluster" On-prem cloud solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:


Platform Management: Responsible for the sustainment and maintenance of our core K8s system platforms structured through OpenShift, Rancher, and Tanzu to appropriate standards and best practices in a speedy workplace.
Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for "Kubernetes as a Service" presenting for the internal clients in helping the requirements for "On Demand K8s Cluster" On-prem cloud (OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, and Rancher) with its multiple stages, providing expert guidance.
GitOps Implementation: Responsible for implementing GitOps principles to incorporate the enterprise-wide cluster provisioning/automation and day 2 lifecycle management using K8s native CI/CD tools like ArgoCD and Jenkins.
Security & Compliance: Ensure the fundamental security policies are implemented and enforced across all work, including patch management. Aid in documentation of project requirements, statements of work, and service descriptions.
Disaster Recovery: Ensure backup and recovery for critical assets to include Disaster Recovery Plan development and execution.
Linux Administration: Linux system administration on physical and virtual servers to include installation and maintaining hardware, software, and applications.
Troubleshooting: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues with any Kubernetes objects like deployments, pods, namespaces, replication controllers, daemon sets, schedulers, and more.


Essential Qualifications

We're looking for professionals who bring industry knowledge and experience in cloud-native frameworks, services-based architecture, container-based solutions development, deployment, and operations as deployed for various environments and use cases.

Technical Requirements:


Master working knowledge in OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, K8s Matrix Services
Working knowledge of ACM, ACS, Tanzu application services, and Rancher
Strong background in VMware virtualization, networking/SAN, security, and containerization technologies
Automation expertise with tools like Ansible automation platform/AWX
Proven experience with designing, developing, and deploying global-scale platforms for Software-defined datacenters
Hands-on experience with container technologies in the industry including Docker, containerd, Helm, Kubernetes, NSX-T, Calico, OVN, and similar platforms
Experience with Argo/Argoevents, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools
DevOps experience including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) for container workloads using Jenkins or ArgoCD
Programming/Scripting experience with YAML, Python, Shell
Configuration management/deployment tools expertise
Understanding of System, Network, and Application monitoring
Hands-on experience with Gateway Controllers like NGINX/Haproxy software load-balancer, ALB gateway controllers
Work experience on PPDM backup tool, Velero, and MiniIO


Preferred Qualifications

The following certifications and experience are considered a plus and will help you stand out:


Red Hat OpenShift Certifications
Kubernetes certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKD (Certified Kubernetes Developer), or CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)
Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, and Infoblox
